My weekend #Point Shoot
This weekend was an unexpected surprise for us all. Why? Well we adopted a dog. Yes we do already have a puppy, Holly-Rose *cutest dog ever*, plus 2 kittens, and 5 chickens, and my hubby has given me strict instructions that I am not to adopt any more animals. And I didn’t intend to adopt another dog, but . . .
On Thursday it was my friends birthday and she was telling us about a rescue dog she was interested in adopting. We decided to stop in at the rescue centre and look at him. He stole all our hearts. My friend and I went back the next morning with our dogs, she has a beautiful customs Labrador. Unfortunately her Lab Tiger and Stan didn’t hit it off as well as we’d hoped. Holly-Rose on the other hand loved Stan and he loved her. It was an instant friendship! I called my hubby and although he wasn’t as keen as me to add to our growing list of animals, he agreed! I was thrilled.
Stan came home with me that day. Sometimes surprises are the best. I stopped in at the Vet on the way home and picked him up all he needed from the pet store. Luckily my hubby loved him, and my children were so shocked and thrilled. He is a family dog, but we have made our son Adam his official owner.
Stan is an American Cocker Spaniel. He is 2.6 years and has been neglected for his short life so far. He was taken to the Vet by his owners to be put down, they just didn’t want him. He fur was mattered, and he had a severe ear infection. He was taken care of at the Vets, had surgery and is still on antibiotics. He is a beautiful natured dog. Luckily the Vet contacted the local animal rescue and this is where my friend found him.
Holly and Stan had their first dog training class this weekend it was loads of fun, we all got rained on and muddy, but it was a success.
Here are some more pics of the kids at home with their dogs.

Check out Holly in her sweater, my hubby thinks I am mad.
Adam decided he is a Transformer this weekend. My friends son gave him his old jacket. Adam has never seen the show, but he thinks he’s cool in this.
We also enjoyed some down time this weekend. It was cold and wet and so we enjoyed watching some TV as a family with coffee and hot Milo, and some cookies.
What did you get up to this weekend?
